    Nikko Stirling Nighteater 3.5-10 x 42 Thoughts

I will soon be the owner of one of these scopes, I’ve not tried it and got it on a whim as it seemed a bit of a bargain. I see it has side parallax, but I don’t know anything much else about them. Were they regarded as good scopes when new? Any issues with them?

Never had one myself but they were popular in Australia when lamping many moons back. The lens quality was very good from what I remember.

The advertising puff said they were developed for/by kangaroo shooters, presumably before night vision became cheap enough for hunters to buy, and the lenses were A grade. But I am not sure if that was just marketing ...

I’ve got the 4-16 model. I can’t fault it. Would happily buy another if one became available.

That’s encouraging, the scope is a bit worn in appearance but if it works well sounds like a bargain for the £46 I paid.
