There is this type made by B Square. Light weight aluminium. Ideal for Red Dot. The one in the picture is for a Colt Python, but as long as you have the barrel diameter there should not be a problem finding one.

Good luck, Phil
I'd like another way of scoping up my Tau 7 silhouet. The original mount is high, heavy and ugly..(see link)
I was wondering, would it be possible to glue a scoperail on the forestock or something?
Or does anyone know a smaller, lower barrel scope mount?
Or any other ideas?
It for reddot only. I can keep the original ugly one for pistol scope if necessary.

This one, for the Izh-46 (which has a 10mm diameter barrel), looks a bit smaller:

Or there are a couple of Crosman items which might fit:

I should add, I don't have any experience using any of these 3 mounts.

Thnx! Will check those out!

Have you considered getting one custom made to fit in place of the rearsight? I'm not familiar with the Tau but I would have thought the rearsight assembly will mount on with one or two screws.
I had a weaver rail custom made for my LP10, see here:

Since getting this I've decided I'm not keen on over-barrel mounting of optical sights on airpistols, and much prefer them further back like this!
