from your description sean it seems a fair price, plus it's .25 and has a bottle.
buy it
What would be the current value of a BSA spitfire .25, gun only. It is in excellent condition, only one small dent in the stock and the blueing is unmarked. It comes complete with buddy bottle and fill adapter.
Seller wants £225 and I'm inclined to buy for that because its a nice example.
Any advice welcome, thanks in advance.

I have had a couple of these in .22 but found them to be a bit leaky , when they worked they were ok,
but I would not trust another one,
, .22 Midas , .177 TX200 SR. ZASTAVA PISTOL.177.
I had the SF .25 carbine ( standard fill buddy bottle type for 1 week !!!!!!!!!!!!! in which it leaked -- the moment they were available)
I swapped it for a .25 carbine HF (high fill) i.e divers bottle fill and still have it.
test it first... but the SF were replaced pdq by BSA for the HF model !
Thanks for the advice guys
The seller is an rfd and I t comes with a 3 month warranty, it looks like another for the collection.

I have the Firebird, it was rebareled to .20 a few years ago by John Bowket, very accurate and a joy to use, enjoy.
Love these guns, got .177 and a Blueprinted .22
Just need the cash and a.25 to come up for sale

Are the millbro rhinos still the pellet of choice for a spitfire in .25, or have you guys got other recommendations.
Thanks in advance.

The rhino's are still the best for bsa .25 barrels & the quality is vastly improved on them too. just make sure they're new stock before buying.
Good to hear, my local rfd has them in stock.
