    Period Scope for a 90's HW95 ?

Its an air rifle I really like but somehow can't seem to hold on to. However, after owning four, I eventually managed to aquire and hold on to a respectable . 177 Barrel Weighted version, factory stocked which performs very well.
So, I'm deliberating on what "period riflescope" i should mount on it ?

Its currently housing a very handsome NS Platinum but I may (as you do) switch it for something else.

Your collective input on all things "period" would be most welcome !

Should add, its for indoor range work (these days) only.

Pretty much anything Simmons would probably look the part, or a tasco golden antler or world class perhaps 😎

Yes, funnyingly enough I have one floating around just now !
Speaking of Simmons, the smaller Pro Air might be a contender ?

The Simmons 4 x 40WA White Tail Classic was also a favourite of mine for close to medium range springer hunting.
Huge no nonsence bright disc with a Duplex ret !

    Why a "period" scope ?
surely modern scopes have better performance
I've never understood why people put form ahead of function ?

just like to match the age of air rifle to the scope, personel preference really.

Yup, the guns doing quite well indoors informally which is OK by me. I have mounted a Bushy Elite 6500 and a Legend which performed very well but I'm looking for something a wee bit lighter and a bit more 90's I think.

WTC or Nikko Platinum. Some modern scopes ain't all that and that's why I will never buy another vortex, over rated and over priced...a nice leupold will also fit the bill. Mach 1.5
