    The principal worked well
Unfortunately some longer screws are required

It seems to be back, more members logged in the more it seems to happen so might be servers trying to fail over to account for traffic and its not working, most IT support is Skeleton crew over the weekend so even if it got reported when it started it'll be monday before anythings done, if it's an offshore support you might get lucky and see something Sunday as India is ahead of us time wise.

The best inventions often require a tweak or two until perfection is achieved, sir.

Always good to take a back-up in these scenarios and it sounds like the HC was put to good use.

Went to Stevenage day and got to practice there, all cork shooters so would have been more accurate throwing the Gun but still a good laugh.

    Hellequin

I owe you an apology mate
I am loving using a duplex scope on the Longbow
Taking time to learn holdover and it will never replace mil dots but I am not in a hurry to replace it. It will probably still be there at the Bash

Duplex rest are fine, methinks. Yep, it certainly takes longer to establish reference points for hold over / under and absolute precision for those longer shots can be harder to access. Much depends on the shooting ground, background etc. I think most us would probably go mill-dot these days if shooting at varying and longer ranges, though.....

Top job Pete! Although I have to admit I put up with them mainly because 'classic looking' scopes for my classic rifles don't often come with a mildot ret. I've just bagged a 3-9x40 mildot for my 77 though, and there might be something similar going on my own Longbow.

I am saving for a Leupold 3x9x40 rimfire for my Longbow
I may choose the 2 x7x32 instead. They ate the same price so it is purely depth of field v a little more mag
