Been a while since I visited Brian's range and I can't recall in detail the targets, I think they were card on racks ?

As for half or full lanes booking, that'll depend on how many attendees they'll be I guess, a tricky one at this point in time ?
At a Bash, the nos., shooting as opposed to non shooting varies during the day. Sometimes 80-90% are shooting, other times maybe only 20-30% !

Assuming a 50/50% shooting/non shooting ratio and the 17 attendees shown on the latest total, nine lanes would be enough i think.

Apologies to anyone reading this post as I keep amending it !

And yes.....Waddy Paul had already estimated that going for half the lanes might be about right. And I'd agree.....if we had two sessions booked, that's six hours. Everyone's going to need to be taking breaks from shooting.

Yep, people really don't want to be dragging lots and lots of gear up those stairs. Better to travel light. Especially for anyone with issues.

    Brilliant Tony, many thanks.
I assume the refreshments area is still there and there was the beginnings of a small shop; pellets and bits n bobs ?

Lakeside Premier Inn looks ideal, have just booked for the 18th of January (fully refundable if cancelled). Keen? Moi?

Usually stay in the racecourse Hilton at Donny which is cheap through the week and there isn't a race on, but its well over 200 blabs

In mine and Joffys case is simply getting up the stairs, I just about manage it in my house with dual bannisters but anywhere else its very difficult and also very dangerous in the event of an emergancey as I'm pretty sure none of you can carry me out.

The 18th of Jan Mike, Leeds Armoury is well worth a visit.

    Hi All,
being local I can advise on the area a little if it helps.

Great western (mount pleasant hotel) is about 5/6 miles of miles out of town but very nice if you run out of options, and please do not leave your guns or valuables in your cars overnight wherever you stay, especially town (its not really a city despite what Doncaster council call it) centre area, but the PREMIER INN DONCASTER CENTRAL (not lakeside Premier inn as it is at least 20 minutes walk to town if not driving) is probably your best option with a large carpark opposite. I use this to book staff in when they come from other areas. I wouldn't stop on any of the hotels on Lakeside as a first choice though if it was me, you are well out of Town and the opposite side of town to Brians range.

Quite a few good places to eat around that area, Nether hall road, High street and the Frenchgate shopping centre area.

I'm not a town dweller but I can advise if you need to check anywhere out. I work 2 miles from Brians range and and live about 9 miles to the East. Hope this helps a little.

PS the stairs to Brians range are heavy going and could be a limiting factor for someone not very mobile. But Brian and Leanne and the team are very welcoming and lovely to deal with.
