Gas ram

Ive recently upgraded to a Cometa Fusion gas ram.It certainly has more recoil than my crossman. Although very accurate i think its putting some recoil strain on the scope. Not sure if gas rams are known for this. A fellow freind uses a ‘dampa’ mount on his gas ram.

Some gas rams can indeed be a bit snappy - especially (no disrespect) the cheaper ones, which are generally sealed so can’t have their pressure tweaked. In which case yes the Sportsmatch Dampa mounts can, in theory, help. I wish they made a 13mm version. I have some BSAs that could well benefit from one. Just bought a couple and fitted one to my new 97k.

They don’t really take up much more room than the standard Sportsmatch one-piece. This one’s a 30mm with a Hawke Sidewinder on the 97k.
