    LGU tuning options

A friend of mine has a standard LGU which, although it shoots really well, has a stiff cocking action. What options are available to make the cocking easier? He shot my 22mm TX and now wants something easier in his.

    Thanks in advance.

I had mine tuned by Sandwell Field Sports, it was always good to shoot but it’s really sweet now. That was back in 2019, I have had the gun since 2014, it was one of the first in the country.
Not many tuners do them and I don’t know of any after market kits. I never had any problem cocking it but I did put one of the Rowan Engineering ends on the underlever to make it easier to grip.

It shouldn't be too difficult to cock, I used to take the skirt off and do an o ring head. I now reduce them to 22 mm . With a fully skirted piston.

open the port out to 3.2mm, then reduce the spring preload.
Always looking for any cheap, interesting, knackered "project" guns. Thanks, JB.
