Question For Previous Or Current Nikko Sterling Diamond Owners

    Morning all.

Over the last few weeks I've been trying to find a Sunshade for my new Nikko Sterling Diamond's 42 mm front objective but unfortunately every avenue that I've tried has been unsuccessful.

I've tried posting on the wanted sections of a couple of different airgun forums (Including this one) I've posted on the Scope Shack UK Facebook page, I've contacted the Optics Warehouse, Uttings, Tactical Scope, Highland Outdoors and many others without any luck whatsoever. I've even contacted Nikko Sterling UK customer service themselves on about 3 or 4 different occasions but they've never bothered to answer any of my emails.

But then I just had a thought, did the Nikko Sterling Diamond 3-12x42 scope actually have a Sunshade that was designed for It or Is the front objectives screw thread just for show as It Is on my cheap Wulf Fireball 3-9x40 scope?

So basically I was just wondering If any of you guys out there have ever owned the Nikko Sterling Diamond 3-12x42 scope and can confirm one way or another whether this scope is actually meant to have a Sunshade fitted or not.

    Cheers guys.

Bought a few Nikko Sterling scopes back in the day, I can’t recall ever seeing a sunshade with any of the earlier Nikko Scopes. The more recent ones may be different

Contact the manufacturer & ask them via their web site.
All scopes have a front thread because the objective lens screws in

Those of mine that take a sunshade have 3-4mm of a very fine mounting thread right at the edge of the objective, then the coarser lens thread behind it,
only one that doesn't has a smooth locking ring with the model details, but atm I have no NS scopes.

Another hint can be if it has a screw-in lens cover, as they use the same thread as a sunshade will.

I did put a sunshade on a scope, that fitted, but wouldn't screw in, using heat shrink tubing.

As per Ken69 I sure this range wasn't designed with a sunshade in mind. A Google search shows the range but no mention of a sunshade. The old target range used them but not diamond range. Mach 1.5
