They have come a long way!

Just been watching on the tube what some of the long range PCPs are capable of! Not so long ago 300 yards shots were considered outstanding!
Now they are shooting a lot longer, Indeed hitting a balloon at a 1000 yards! And even claim to shoot MOA groups at 800 yard
I feel I have done well at 100 lol

Ton Jones hit a target at 2058 yds, not sure if that's still the record with an air gun.

What sort of Rig was he using to make that shot?
Last year I was talking to a couple squaddies at Colchester barracks who was in Afghanistan when Craig did his record kill shot , He was using a L96 firing a 338 lapua round at 3800 FPS and it took the round 4 secs to get there. They said he could not have made shot other it was at high altitude in the mountains and still had to use 8 feet hold over!

No idea what that's supposed to mean or ask

lot's of people don't know what they're talking about, but still insist on talking about whatever it is,
The average squaddie has no idea about long range sniping.

Ton used an Airforce Texan .308

Harrison used an L115A3 AI AWM, not an L96 (which is the earlier 7.62 rifle).
