    Any Daisy experts in here?

Picked up a Daisy, that I believe is a Model 25...
I know nothing about Daisys... and after hours of research I'm even more confused...
Its not in my hands yet, and came with other rifles that are in transit.. so dont have the Sn# or Patent# yet.
Can't post pics for the life of me, here, but let me try to describe it, see if anyone knows what it is...

Seller says its a Model 25.
Plastic Stock is satin black, checkered at the grip, with a white band at the butt pad.
Pump grip is satin black, and, I think 12 groove..
Action metalwork, and trigger guard is silver/pewter colored, with Black screen printed scrolling, Daisy name, boy with a gun, and 2x ducks flying away from him, on both sides.
Cant tell if the screws are phillips or normal or maybe rivit heads..
Action screw on RH is a black tapered knurled head, with normal screwdriver slot.
    Trigger is black.
Cant see the sights in the pics I have.
RH of stock has a yellow/black oval sticker, says
    Daisy
    IMPORTANT NOTICE.
Blah Blah read manual, and contact
Daisy, Box 220, Rogers, Ark 72756

Im completely confused because I've spent hours digging, never seen one that looks like this!
    Help!

Hi if you go onto the vintage airguns gallery web site you should to be able to get some nfo on them on there, the early mod 25s had wooden stocks and l think they where made from about the 1920s, hope this helps.

    Thanks,
I've dug around and now know the basics... I just cant seem to ID this rifle...
    Plastic stock dates it.
12 rib pump handle dates it.
Being a Rogers era dates it...
Silk screen printed scrolling dates it...
But thats where I get stuck

Just Google Daisy model 25 or even early Daisy air rifles.

    Daisy Model 25

Hello just spent some time trying to pin point your model 25 seems they came out circa, 1914 and are still being produde today. The problem being there is 58 variants that have been produce I also believe that they are now made in China. I would say looking at yours it's a newer model because of the Phillips screw that have been used. Best I can do for now. Regards Craig.

    Thanks Craig!
    I'm confused too...

So, I now have the all important info, but not definitive..

It's confirmed its a Model 25, and was made in Rogers, Arkansas.

    Lot number is: H316660

    Pat number stamped as
    2.724.897 and 2.768.586

    12 Groove pump handle...

    Stock is Plastic, and BLACK.

But Receiver is Silver or maybe Chrome...
Artwork is Silk Screened in black...

Someone on another forum suggested is a Special Edition of somme type, and anothe said its a 1964 Chrome edition...
No idea, cant find ANYTHING that looks the same..
All I know, is its pretty and I like it!
I did just send a ID request to the Daisy Museum...

    this

yours is a 1964 Daisy 25 chrome plated model. As shown in the book
`Daisy Air Rifles and BB guns `by Neal Punchard, a Crestline book by MBI publishing of Minneapolis. The book was published in 2002.
I used to collect Daisy bb guns some years back, but lost interest along the way . I have recently started to collect them again, but I still have a couple of reference books on the Daisy guns. The above reference is the only one to mention your model, but I do know that Daisy made several versions and commemoritive versions of the model 25 , and other models.
    Nice find.

    Pete.

    Thanks Geezer!
    Pure luck...
    What is it they say...
Even a Blind Squirrel finds a nut now and again!

I got a reply from my inquiry to The Daisy Museum...
    They are puzzled too..
Asked for more info and pics, which I sent.
Will update when I have more info..
