Spare valve for a KWC c96?

I've been asked to repair a KWC M712 C96 Broomhandle Mauser in 4.5mm BB, which is dumping the gas as soon as the cartidge is loaded.

On stripping the unit it looks like the seat of the exhaust valve has had a bit of swarf on it, so it's either disassemble the valve and change the seat or get a new valve. Disassembling the valve is a bugger as there's no way to hold the plunger or grip the valve stem. So, new valve as first choice.

I can find the 6mm airsoft bb valves but not one for the 4.5mm version. I've even tried contacting KWC but no response. Anyone know where I can get a complete 4.5mm valve or the valve seat from, or are the 6mm and 4.5mm valves essentially the same?

Hi Jerry,
I cannot answer your question specificaly , but have often wondered on this subject myself. As you say the valves are not strippable. For the price of a valve I would say buy the airsoft one and try it..... got to worth a go hasn`t it.
