It will be coming to the bash as it's had a rebuild & I really want to have a good session with it, this Sunday (my normal range day) has a forecast of thunderstorms . The silencer is lovely, very deep bluing & it looks more "original" on the rifle than the original one if that makes any sense.

DM80 has a thread on the member manufacturer section of the AGF with plenty of pics.

Now I have never liked holding the end of an silencer to cock a break barrel
But if I can get a cocking aid made which extends down the barrel to give a good baring area it will ease loading
Withdrawn from sale whilst I annoy engineers

Your Longbow had a DM80 Slimtech silencer fitted when you bought it Pete.

I want something that shape that closely fits the barrel and extends 3-4 inches past the thread

I am now getting concerned
We are 2 weeks from the Bash and there has been no mention of nailing a rifle together
Does this mean he is prepared in advance?
I myself have got a rough zero on the Longbow(with a 3lb hammer) and am moving on to fine tune (with a 20oz Stanley)
Just straightening a couple of 6in nails to fit the stock

Our Craig did manage to find some time getting a pair of 77s readied with peep sights, Pete. Both were looking and sounding fantastic. Can't wait to see them.

I do hope you keep those fine precision tools in their nice, protective velvet cases, Pete.

Appointment made at the eye clinic for Monday.

It's in Doncaster, where I work. They did offer me an appointment for yesterday afternoon, but it would have meant parking at the Doncaster Royal Infirmary, which is always a nightmare, plus they're going to have to put eye drops into the eyes to dilate the pupils, making it so you can't drive. So the car and I would have been in awkwardly stranded in Doncaster. They also offered me an appointment for today, but as the weekends are our busiest times at work, I declined.

I'm off Monday and Tuesday. Mrs L has prior commitments so I'll go over on the train which should be much easier. Guessing that'll take most of the day up. Tuesday at the dentist. No more days off then until The Bash, so no more time for checking anything properly etc. Should be okay, though.

Hope they don't find anything too sinister on Monday.
