    Les..
honest, for 25 you need to go PCP _ the HW80 can't drive them fast enough - other than to be at a disadvantage from using 22 .......

I purchased a used 80 back in the early 80's, no one except firearm clubs seemed to have a chrono back then. Anyway we were going to chrono our fullbore pistol rounds for an up coming competition, so out of interest, & due to the fact that the .22 80 was knocking over rabbits at 40yds, i decided to chrono it, yep it was 20ftlb, so having an fac i had it put "on ticket".
As you describe it was a great rifle for that middle distance between sub 12 & 22rf. just before Hungerford i had it taken off & returned to sub 12, back in more enlightened days, how times have changed

I totally agree with what you’re saying regarding what’s the most efficient and effective for .25 cal Fac.
But it’s just something that’s self contained and a magnum type springer that I would enjoy using the most.
It will probably never happen anyway ldwink.
    Just a pipe dream really.

One of the few .25's I was able to buy before they required a licence here in Norway, is an 80k.
I've had problems getting it to behave well, but at the moment it is quite good at around 15fpe.
    Too many airguns!
