Hi All,

Just got my MFR and thought I'd share some observations.

The trigger blade is much further forward than the blade on my MK2. For me it seems to be an unneccessarily long reach. I'm hoping that the new curved trigger that Theoben are working on will be retyrofittable and address this. Also IMHO I do feel that the metal bar trigger blade is horrible.
The bottle incorporates a new valve. this has been mentioned, but I thought I'd elaborate. The bottle can now be screwed off directly without any need to bleed off (although air is still in the action). There is no seal to damage on the bottle. The valve unit is similar to the type fitted to german guns (such as the HW100). When re-fitting the bottle, it seems necessary to have to dry fire once to fill the action, as the first shot seems weak.
The barrel has been turned down to reduce weight, and the silencer is actually a very well manufactured piece, although, it doesn't seem any quieter than a good screw on silencer.
The bull barrel silencer does tend to accentuate the need for 'scope risers sooner rather than later, even for a moderate height 'scope. The single shot function works, but as I use mags doesn't really add any value as a feature for me.

Cheers

Robin
