Hello, New to the forum and after a bit of advice please.

I have a Morini 162 EI and am experiencing problems with the cocking lever / effort.

The gun is new to me, so needing to know if it is normal.

When cocking the lever upwards, the action is not smooth. I can hear a slight grinding sound. On further inspection, the screw that attaches the cocking lever is slightly worn on the contact edge. It feels like either the probe that seals the breech or the hammer inside the gun are either worn or dry of any lubrication.

I did remove the back plate and removed the hammer spring and hammer to inspect. There is clearly some wear to the back lower edge of this item, which is a bit of a concern.

Does anyone have any experience of fixing these with "high mileage." Very concerned that my much loved pistol is not very well.

I am also interested to know of any gunsmiths who may specialise in repairing these pistols. I get the feeling this could benefit from someone with experience.

Many Thanks,
