Has anyone got any insights into this model? Just started refurbishing it, its ( according the the datemark at the end of the stock ) 1953 version.....
added an 11mm scope rail. given it a general clean and new breach seal,
got some spares from Chambers but at that point I thought it was a 25, so piston seal is wrong. degreased the original and it seems OK, plenty of Thwack and what a straight shooter ! Making another stock out of oak and sycamore because the original is split, no bluing left at all, so polishing and maybe get it plated,,,,,,,,,, Nickel, chrome even. Not a working gun just a project.
n the course of taking it apart and putting together I devised a really useful spring compressor, so dont mind taking it apart again.
There are no marks, numbers Logos, engraving of any kind left on the metal, it was a well used and abused gun bought from a farmer about 40 years ago.........It was 50P
Spent most of its time at the back of a shed since then.
It dies not match any of the Chambers blueprints, some 25 components, some 23 parts so maybe a crossover or transitional piece.
