Valuation of my Walther LGV Spezial
Power was low so I got Dave Mercer to reseal it. Now working perfectly.
Bluing faded in parts but no rust or pitting. Honest wear through use. Nice stock in decent condition. Bluing on barrel beneath shroud fine apart from one small mark which I keep greased.
I can't make up my mind whether to keep this or sell it. If I keep it I may have the stock refinished by a professional and the gun reblued by Colin Malloy. If I decided to sell it, which I probably won't, at least not in the near future, it wouldn't really be worth spending money I wouldn't get back. I'm fairly happy with it the way it is, actually. It's in pretty good nick for its age, and has not been abused.
Anyway the reason for this post is to ask you what you think it is worth:

For my rather pathetic attempts at standing shots, I prefer to use it with the shroud removed, because of my age.
With the shroud on it provides excellent stability for rested shots with diopter or scope. I have a weaver extended rail and mounts for use with a scope. I occasionally take it to the range, but use it mostly in the garden - well, in the garage, shooting out into the garden. I wouldn't want to get it wet.
