hello everyone..thank you Admin for your welcome message

My name is Tom and I will be 67 this coming May. I've joined this forum after researching a particular airgun I was interested in buying. I was greatly impressed by the information I found. There are a lot of very enthusiastic and knowledgeable members in this forum and based on all that expert information I recently purchased a very nice example of a Webley MK3, the air rifle I have wanted to own and shoot 56 years ago but could not afford.

I was 10 years old when my dad got me a brand new Milbro MK4 air pistol in .177 for Christmas 1968. 1968 was also the year that I had to do a history project and presentation. Most my classmates did the Norman Conquest or the Armada or the Romans. I did the history of the Birmingham Gun Trade. I used the Yellow Pages to get the addresses of many gunmakers and wrote to them and by return many of them, such as Webley & Scott and BSA sent me catalogues and brochures. I still have the booklet the Birmingham Proof House sent me.

My next airgun when I was 12 was a .22 BSA Meteor, dad got it me , second-hand, that was from Stourbridge. I would have liked a Webley MK3 or even a BSA Airsporter.

I then went on to own the following: Webley Hurricane, Webley Osprey, Webley Vulcan, BSA Airsporter, BSA Airsporter Schutzen, Crossman Ratcatcher, S&W 629 pistol, Dan Wesson 615 pistol, Air Arms TX200. I've also shot BSA Martini 22LR target rifle and been an infantry soldier, so fired 7.62 SLR, GPMG, Sterling 9mm and Hi Power 9mm. Wednesbury Marksman, many years ago, S&W mod 14 .38 with target sights.

Blimey sorry didn't mean to bore you all I live in Wolverhampton. I have just become a member of the NSRA. I actually live about a 10 minute walk from the Aldersley indoor range.
best regards to all
Tom
