Over the years I have managed to acquire one of each of (what I see as) the seminal pre war Benjamin Franklin pump air pistols - from which almost all subsequent Crossman, Sheridan and Benjamin pump air pistols were derived.
Ie Benjamin Franklin models
177, 122, 117 & 112.
To me these are similar to the pre war Webley pistols in that they pretty well locked in the maker’sdesign until the present day.

However I have much less knowledge of these American pistols and how they developed or how they are viewed stateside. I’m not convinced they are particularly collectible here in UK. I’m a big fan so very interested to hear others views, particularly across the pond.

Poor picture but better ones can be provided.
