Sussex Interclub HFT 2025 - Round 2
Hi All
Seconds out, Round 2.
Star Wars fans will appreciate the date, as Sunday May the 4th sees us gather at Mile Oak SC, pretty much all to the usual format.
The competition is open to all safe shooters of sub 12lb ft air rifles who are members of the hosting clubs (Buxted, Ford, Horsham, MVAC & Mile Oak), plus any member of Iden Fern, MAD and Bisley.
Other individuals will also be welcomed; all we ask is for a brief heads up that you would like to join us by dropping a PM to me.
The competition is scheduled to start at 10:00, immediately following the safety briefing. As you know, you must be at the Safety Brief if you wish to enter the comp.
Booking in will commence around 08:30 and the event will have catering, care of MOSC's own kitchen and under the guidance of chef extraordinaire Darren, offering bacon baps (burgers for 'lunch') and coffee/tea/etc..
Please remember that if you wish to partner a specific person or persons (max 3, including you), do not leave booking in too late. That way, we're more likely to be able to allocate a suitable peg.
Mile Oak Farm address is Mile Oak Rd, Portslade, Brighton BN41 2RF. After driving through the tunnel under the A27, take the first track on your right, winding your way up through the farm building. Please drive very slowly (5mph) as you work your way up this farm track where, at the end, parking will be in the field. Driving slowly is not just a choice or request, as the track is somewhat bumpy. And you never know what huge farm machinery may be lurking round the next bend.
For those who use it, the what3words location is HERE
Please keep an eye open for single lane inducing road works on the A27. They're between Hollingbury and the Dyke Road interchange and in both directions. I've not seen news on when this will finish, but given the extent of the works, expect it to be there for more than another week or two. For those coming down the A23, I think you join the A27 just where the Westbound single lane ends, so shouldn't be too bad, though you may get caught on the way home. Only likely to add 5 mins to your drive.
See you all soon.
🙂
