Dear Friends,

a few days back I acquired a super nice BSA Meteor Mk 5. It is my fifth Meteor and the very best so far, I have developed an attraction to these iconic British springers. I've done my homework and at least pretend to know the ins and outs of the rifle itself, but this time I'm curious about the pellets I got with it. Most likely they were bought with the rifle back in the day, or at least during the same time period the rifle was available here in Finland.

So here are two plastic "tins" of pellets, astonishingly similar. Wonder if they came from the same product line? I got just one half full tin of "Champion Challenger" but three tins of "VIRI", one full, one half full and one with maybe 100 pellets left. I have shot a couple of dozen of the latter ones and even if they appear somewhat rough, they hit surprisingly well! At lest with my favorite kind of shooting, which is offhand at six meters with various old cheap rifles. So in my book they are by no means total crap.

I'd appreciate any info about these, memories of shooting them, feel of their quality, initial price etc. I'm about to save at least the full tin of VIRIs in my ever growing coll... OK, my miscellaneous pile of ancient airgun stuff.
