I have come away from leupold and gone to burris, see my sig. they are great alround airgun scopes aslong as you get the ra model which is no longer produced. I find the rangefinding excellent, optically they are on par with a leup but buid quality is not as good.

I have a Burris Signature 8-32 RA model and it is extremely bright. It is at least as clear as my Bushnell Elite 4200s but the field of view is much wider. I used to have a Burris Fullfield 2 with a ballistic reticle. the otics were great on that too but it didn't parallax down close enough to my liking.

Having had an RA burris and sold to get a 4200, i'd agree entirely with the above apart from saying the burris is no brighter but comparable.
The only draw back on the burris is no option of mildot on the RA and they are no where near as robust or light as the titanium built 4200. Mine had to go back for rethreading of the px ring and all of the ra's at the club had been sent back for similar or turret work. All FOC of course under the no-quibble lifetime warranty.

The only problem I can see is that you can't buy a Burris worth having new.

Burris will retro fit a mil-dot ret in the RA Andy, I've had all mine done

The ones I sent back to the States cost $120 and the one I sent to their Finnish service centre was, I think, 100 Euro.

Burris also make excellent hunting scopes for airguns and rimfire- the 3-9 and 4-12x40. Not cheap but bomb proof and with excellent clarity.

    SECOND THAT ARTHUR

i have owned nearly every top end scope on the market and the burris fullfield range at second hand prices cant be beaten for value for money.

expect to pick the fullfield ll range second hand in 3-9x50 or 4.5-14x 42 up for about £140 to £170.

    crisp optics bombproof contruction.

I have the Leupy and burris that are in my sig, i have to admit that the Burris has very slightly better optics when used in dawn/dusk lighting. However the Leupy is smoother in operation.... But both are absolutely fantastic scopes. You wont go wrong with either makes.
