Remove the turrets, it will only weight half as much.
Heavy? are you kidding? I have heavier feathers.

    I have handled quite a few of these (25 - 30).

There are a few different versions , some come with sun shade and flip up covers, others don't.

Some also have the Leupold logo on them.

The quality does vary between them but the ones i brought in were checked over by the seller in China and they are about the best value scopes I have tried.

The objective lens and the illuminated reticle control's on some are different to the the ones on mine and on some the turrets can be reset others can't.
The one's with the logo are pretty goo dcopies whil eth eothers are not as close

I have heard that some can not be reparallaxed because the front ring can't be removed.

The packing on all looks the same.

A few people i know have been caught out on "that site" with sellers sending M3 versions when they won M1 versions.

Some front rings are very tight but can be loosened with a Boa Constrictor rubber adjustable gripper which can be bought at Morrison or similar stores.
I haven't found a front ring yet which can't be removed.

Has anybody used these scopes on springers and/or centerfire rifles? How do they hold up against heavy recoil?

I bought the 3.5-10x40 off fleabay.
Put it on my BRNO and the best I could get was a 5" group at 25 yards
The grouping started bottom right and finished top left in a diagonal

For the price I payed for it I thought it worth taking apart. Getting the eye bell off was a job in itself (babyboa job), low and behold in the eye bell was another ring that had come off the main body of the scope..... I chucked it away, put the eye bell back on after checking the glass with the ret etched on it was solid.

When I finally got to give it a test I was getting 1 hole groups a 25 yards
Apart from that problem, I only had to re-parralax it to the markings on the side wheel.
