I had a barrel blued by SBSD and a stock refinished. He did a phenomenal job on both and for a great price. Give him a shout. Think he's in Oldham area so not far from Manchester.

I was on the impression that something cannot be re-blued once it has been done, as it leaves dark shades on areas where the original blue was in good condition.
I would be interested to here from someone in the trade who can comment on this.

I'm not "in the trade" but AFAIK, metal work is cleaned up and polished to remove all previous blueing prior to re-blue.
I'm sure those that know more than I will correct this if I'm wrong.

You're not wrong, Chris.
Sammo, its the cold blue touch ups that leave a patchy mess, we're talknig about chemically stripping the action, polishing and applying a hot blue finish here, same procedure as per the manufacturers mate.![]()
