Yep, I must agree,
I tried muzzle loading (a Uberti 1851 Colt Navy .36 cal revolver) for the 1st time on Sunday and talk about sausage fingersI found placing the cap's the fiddliest thing to do. I reckon if I'd been a new recruit, the enemy would have had time to over run my position, search the bodies for ammo, food, and other essentials
and gone home, if they didn't find me
, before I could have re loaded the pistol
But I suppose it will come with a LOT of practice
All the best
