Dean C, your other one with the square fronted stock is a GG which is a Mk111. Quite rare and well worth hanging on to! Does it have the serial number on the trigger block? These were made between June 1968 & mid 1969.

That sounds like it! Yes the number is on the trigger block. I have only just bought this on here on sunday.
Dont suppose you know how many were made do you?

    Thanks for the reply.

Thanks for that Troubled shooter. I never realised it was that old. Made my day. Is it safe to assume that Airsporters with the same serial number prefix are indenticle or were there variations within the run?

Just of interest, Roger, are you able to match these numbers against the production numbers to see which marks and calibres have the highest suvival rate? Please feel free to ignore this somewhat anal request if you have more interesting things to do with your time!

Hi Roger, are you including Centenary Airsporter serial numbers in this study? If so, on top of the numbers I posted a couple of months back, the serial number of my .22 Centenary is C 0339 (hope this helps ). Atb and see you Sunday: Gareth W-B.
