yep
I've finally decided to get a new S400 from JSR next week.
In all their adverts the walnut option is only £30-00 extra, (although walnut on the S410 is £45-00 extra.)
Anyway, Is it worth getting the walnut for an extra 30 quid, or am I better off sticking with the beech? I don't hunt, and I don't expect to be carrying it any distance or using it in the rain.
Is it a load of messing about keeping walnut in good condition, oiling and waxing 'n stuff?
Comments appreciated.

I did - for the sake of £30 its well worth it - looks so much better. Its also lighter than beech AFAIK.
Or even better - get the beech then use the £30 towards a custom stock from someone like Paul Wilson!
