A good honest review:
And I totally agree - I have a 6-24X50 4200 Tactical Elite and a 5-15 Legend.
To be honest there is very little in it - and the 4200 cost 3 times the price.

I have been a big fan of Bushnell scopes ever since I bought my 4200 and used it on my HMR. I decided to go for another for the rapid but didn't want to pay crazy money so I looked at the Legend.
I found it new for £148 (Binoculars UK) and purchased it after getting some positive feedback from other BBS members.
It arrived this week and I got it mounted on the Rapid. Comparing it to the MTC Mamba 4-16x50 I have I expected it to suffer in the low light having only the 40mm objective lens and 25mm tube - I was very much mistaken! In fact I found it brighter than the MTC. It was also very sharp and clear.
I took it out for a target shoot in the fading light to get it zeroed. I was shooting at 40m and on 15x mag the target was clear and sharp. Eye relief was more sensitive than the 4200 but no different to the MTC. The image quality difference between the Legend and the 4200 was hard to deduce which really impressed me!
As the light faded I was astounded at the Legend, being able to remain on full mag and still have an accurate, clear target acquisition!
I have not yet hunted with the scope but from what I have seen in the poor light on the targets it will perform well under the lamping conditions.
The parallax ring moves smoothly and feels solid; the same applies for the zoom ring. The mildots are fairly large and the cross hair thicker than on the 4200 and MTC range but at the ranges I will be shooting this will not cause a problem for me. It may pose a problem if shooting small targets at long range.
The scope is classy in aesthetics and overall I am very pleased with it - I honestly believe that to find a scope of comparable quality you would have to pay a lot more money.
Hope this review helped.
Cheers

I think there is a trend starting.
It was thanks to the feedback from you guys and a couple of others that made me go for it!
Thanks

What does the parallax focus down too on the legend 5-15x40. I've seen 10 yds and 15 yds quoted on different website's. Thanks. atb. Brian.
Hang on I'll just have a look...
The adjustment ring is marked 10yrds, but I think at 5x mag it is less than this. My garage is about 7yrds long and from one end to the other is just about in focus with the ring on minimum and 5x mag.

Dave.
Excellent scopes. I use one on all my legal limit air rifles and am delighted with the build quality and optics. The Elite range may be better but are they worth over twice the price? Perhaps not.

'It may be that your sole purpose in life is to serve as a warning to others'.
No probs. Another feature on this scope (which I've only just noticed ) is that the parallax adjustment ring can be adjusted itself. There are three small screws locking it to the objective bell, these can be loosened and for example the 30yrd mark be reset to where your eye finds 30yrds focus. Clearly the deltas between ranges on the ring can't be altered but an interesting feature nevertheless.

Dave.
I also got one of these from Binoculars UK, I got mine last week. I was also impressed by the clarity on full mag while zeroing at the range. What also impresses is the depth of focus, it's not necessary to be bang on with the objective adjustment even on full mag. I used it on my HMR lamping on thursday, a still, misty night and took rabbit to 90yd with good clear target picture and the adjustable lamp kept fairly dim so's not to scare the rabbits. Very happy with it.

I know - they went up a couple of days after I got mine!
Shame though! I have chatted with the guy at Binoculars UK and he was very nice and said that they can always do a better deal than the price you see soif you are interested - give them a bell and ask if they can beat that price or offer free delivery.

Love this scope very clear, cost me £90 from usa bargain!!!!!
Does anyone have direct experience of the Legend 5-15 x 40 and the Mamba 4-16? I'm particularly interested in the reticle - which one has the thickest crosshairs, for example? And which retains best parallax and focus down to 20yards? I'm looking for one with thin 'hairs and would like something suitable for targets at 20 yards and farther! Both scopes are fairly similar price-wise. Any thoughts appreciated!
Cheers.
