No problem, I paid £320 which I appreciate was probably over the odds for a 23 year old gun, however the shop is keeping a new-ish proofed Parker Hale Mod in the cupboard as part of the sale (so no charge when I pick it up) for when I get the variation done. Also the bore is in excellent condition, there's almost no wear marks on the bolt = not much use, and it's exactly what I was looking for. A few minor cosmetic issues are neither here nor there as far as I'm concerned. They are getting on for £600 new.
As I said earlier I haven't seen one second-hand for a while, so I assume they're sought after or those who buy them, keep them. I'll certainly be keeping hold of this one
