It should have a month and year stamp on the left side of the spring chamber near the rear end.
Hi everyone,
Here are some pictures of my Original 50E air rifle,
http://img150.imageshack.us/gal.php?g=1010871.jpg
It has D stamped on the barrel and on the link arm has 330 stamped.
Does any one have an idea of how old it is and any rough estimate on the price?
Cheers, Mick

Thanks for the help, I just checked now and there is no date shown.
Any idea of some one who could re-spring and lube it and bring it up to full power if poss?
Thanks, Mick

It's a lovelly, clean-lined rifle. They shoot very sweetly when tuned.
Hi Mdunn,
Yours looks to be late 50's early 60's.....it's the early version. In good condition expect about £150+ pretty airgun...but never going to be too powerfull...
I saved up and bought a new 50E in .22 when I was 14 , 17 pounds 10 shillings. that makes it about 1962 give or take, very accurate and around 10 ft lbs, but no way of realy knowing in them days.
