been thinking about coming down for the comp, whats the walk like from train station to venue?? is it doable with a heavy backpack and stuff? I'm fine with lots of walking but if its a really long way then id have to look at buses as well. how easy is the place to find?

    cheers

I will be camping at the venue on Friday night. Not sure how far, or which station you will come to, but looking at the map it is not a huge distance to either one.
Unless someone else is passing I will gladly come and collect you and your gear from the station.
Just let me know and I will PM my mobile.

    Cheers, Mark

thanks a lot mark, ive been looking at train times and the only way i can work it will mean ill be getting into the bedworth station 4 k up the road at 10 o'clock, assuming all things go ok with trains and changes and things. this will mean i wont be in the location before things kick off so i wouldn't want you to have to leave or anything, i can walk but id be there 10 mins or so late for the sign in. if this is ok then ill books the trains and what not.

will there be space for me to bring a 4man tent? if there is and anyone needs a place to kip for the night thered be room for 2 more in there or 3 at a push, not seperat sections though.

Thanks Sol for your payment, I replied to your email

Not long now before it comes round. Also looking for the Friday Meet before the MEET at the hotel, that should be a laugh like last time

I promise not to talk all about 'tactical situations' like last time , but let's talk about Capri's & Escorts again,

    Regards
    Paddy.

    thanks for the confirmation paddy.
tactical situations sounds more fun than what us 'young uns' would class as 'vintage' cars

I still prefer the 'vintage' cars rather than the 'modern' stuff

The 'tactical situation' conversations, one of them was where is the best place to be while in a shootout by a parked car

It would be a loooonnng walk! We came in by train last meet: took the local Punjabi cab service to the hotel, which was also a good distance from the Greyhound Club.

We had a much better looking driver from the hotel to the Club than from the train station to the hotel.
