    Crossman 140

Evening fellas,I have lurking in a box a very good example of a crossman 140.Looking on tinter it seems to be variant 3 with steel sliding breech and steel trigger guard. It has a problem in that it loses air rapidly and I was wondering how hard it is to service/repair these rifles. It shoots well, but you have to be quick!

I've had it years.I'm ok with spring guns but never tried to repair a pump.
Can anyone reccommend a source for repair if I get into trouble?

    Thanks,Pat.

    There's nothing to fear Pat

The internals in the valve are mainly O rings and the inlet valve is the same as a Crosman 1377.

As your pump seems to be working OK and making pressure I would just fit new seals to the valve, especially the two O rings on the exhaust valve.

If you get stuck give me a shout and I'll send you the O rings FOC.

    Otherwise Laurie's your man.

    All the best Mick
