I don't know but it looks really nice. Probably over 150 knicker ?
Having got the hang of posting pic's (hurrah!) I wondered if you good gentlemen would like to cast a critical eye over this rather nice Mk1?
Please note this rifle is completely original and has not been refinished in any way. Please also note it is complete with bakalite pistol grip plug, foresite shroud and rather spendid etching.
The only minus points are a small area of very light pitting (about 15mm across) under the etching, and some loss of blueing on the foresite block.
Thanks very much.

Cheers mate,
Yep, she is a belter!, just posting to see what kind of money people think its worth? obviously has to be around what I paid in the 1st place!
Trying to fund a new pcp in the current climate calls for some tough choices.

That is a very VERY nice mark one!
Seems so many Mk1's have had somthing refurbed, usualy the stock. Yours looks like a minter, AND it has the etching.
£175 certainly was a bargain!

It depends not only on condition but who, if anyone, wants it when you come to sell.
If you are serious about selling it, then the best thing to do is put it on for top whack and if you don't get any takers, you can drop the price until either you do get a taker or you don't wish to go lower.
Happy Shooting!! Paul.

Hello,
My thoughts ~ £150:00.
Sam
Look at it this way. The current Lightning XL with 'Grade 1' walnut is around £350 new, and the build quality is extremely average. A GB series Mk.1 Airsporter is many times better built, is now 60 odd years old, and in this condition should be worth at least the value of the Lightning.
At £250 it would be cheap, at £150 it would be giveaway money, the latter sum being the cost of a new Chinese made SMK!
I guess it is down to supply and demand - if some of these lovely old air rifles were Hornby trains or Scalexteric cars for example their value would be quadrupled. I don't think many airgun collectors realise how lucky they are in many ways in being able to buy nice old stuff at really quite modest money often.
IMO around the £200 mark.

I was at an auction a couple of weeks ago and one that wasn't as good as yours went for £180 so £200 doesn't seem unreasonable
