    Crosman 2300S

I have just collected my Crosman 2300S and I am generally very pleased with it however the standard black plastic grips do not sit too well in my hand so I would like to get a nice set of custom grips. Can any of you help me out with a supplier. Also any other mods I should consider?
    Cheers . Alan

Here we are - http://www.sdcustomdesign.com/parts.htm#grips - you can get some very nice walnut grips from here.

I put a set of zebrawood RB grips on mine and they're just the job -

The 2300s is an excellent pistol but the trigger can be made better by polishing the sear faces and adding a weaker trigger spring and guide (also available from the link above.)
A trigger shoe makes things feel nicer too...

Gmac's site is fab for custom parts too http://www.gmaccustomparts.com/epage...n_Custom_Parts

The 2300S is a great pistol. Very accurate with a L/W barrel and fantastic Williams sight/pin front sight. You will get over 60 shots per CO2 cart! As Edd said the only mod you'll need is on the trigger - polish, shims and a wide trigger or trigger shoe will do it.

Ricks grips are great, RB Grips are ok but not the best fit and Keiths grips look cool. See http://www.airgunartisans.com/AAStockGripMain.htm

I want one of these, I think it's top of my list for my next gun

What's the price for one of these in the UK?

I have a 1377 (in bits) but found it to be rather crude and "agricultural", are these any better? Would you say it's a "proper" target pistol?

    2300s

Thanks for the help so far guys. I'm a bit nervous about taking it apart and polishing it, but I will give it a try.
    Please keep the suggestions coming.
Thanaton23, as this is my first Crosman I don't know what the standard of finish to their products is usually like but I have to admit to being a little disappointed, I am going to change the grips which do feel a bit cheap, but the finish on the metalwork is not perfect by any means and has a couple of very small chips in the paint on the trigger guard and the finish on the barrel can best be described as matt. But those things aside it does seem to shoot very well and I'm hoping to have a lot of fun learning how to use it effectively.
    Cheers . Alan

I am not aware of anyone selling the 2300S in the UK.

I bought mine from a seller on www.forthehunt.com but that was in the good old days of almost $2 - £1. You could also try www.auctionarms.com or www.airgunexporter.com. But the exchange isn't very good at the moment.

Regarding quality I am a big Crosman fan but don't expect Euro standards on the finish. They are a great hobby gun. You can't polish a turd but you can fun trying.

I am not sure how much more accurate the L/W barrel is compared to the stock Crosman barrel. You could contact Gordon at GMAC and build a gun to a 2300s spec!

    Cheers

    Alan,
Most of the fun of owning a Crosman is pulling it apart!
There are lots of sites offering advice on a trigger tune.
You could also visit GMAC site to look at his trigger goodies.
The triggers are easy to work on even I can do it!
I think GMAC has instructions on youtube also.

    Cheers
