9mm or .45 barrel mag & feed.
Open sights will do me just fine at that range.

OK mates, you can have any air pistol / optics combination available in the world (the Queen has granted you a dispensation from the normal UK power limits), and you want it for pulverizing tin cans at a range of 25 yards or so.
You want a scope or red dot sight on it.
What pistol / optics do you choose?
What one would you choose if normal power limits applied?

I already have mine, a Tau 7 Silhouet. Even at 25m, stunningly accurate!

That's 2 votes for the Tau 7. I'm a little surprised that the consensus is for open sights, though I'm not disappointed, being an iron sight man myself.

something based around the colt .45
id go for open sights as well.
using those tac thingees with a proper mag system, none of that rotary mag business.
blow back action for a bit of realism. with proper casing ejection
20ft/lbs should do it for a nice kick and a nice flat trajectory out to 50m or so

Particle physics gives me a hadron.
Sliced bread.
The best thing since ripped up bread.
Webley mk VI modified to fire TAC.
It doesn't exist, but it surely could, and if the Queen says I can have one...
Morally flawed
Got mine already a Webley Allecto with a holographic red dot
Though I shot my newly restored BSA 240 magnum recently and killed a tin bat at 20yds with it (visualise a jammy git! Smiley)
I prefer open sights as well. Firstly, cause the Tau 7 scopemount is nothing short of HORRIBLE High, heavy..
And its very shakey, a scope or dot on a pistol. Except for bowlingpin etc, than I like a reddot.

come on guys, we want more imagination!
Try these:
M'rod .22 pistol - even better if .25

Pure fantasy... Artillery model Luger, Umarex CO2 type, detatchable shoulder stock and holster. How cool would that be?
Why don't they make one? I suspect because it's Nazi related, only reason I can think of. I'm sure it'd sell like hotcakes.
Great Idea Nikkormat,
16 inch barrelled Submarine Luger, fired one in Germany years ago, unbelievably light and accurate, with skeleton butt,
Get cracking Umarex we want a Luger
No Problem, I shoot HFT with Steyr LP10, LP50 and a Silhouette all with 6x32 mildot mini scopes and all very consant with exceptional accuracy.
BUT for half the price there's nothing that compares with my FX Ranchero .177 and light Mossies firing @ 575fps 5.801ftlbs grouping clover leafs @ 30yards with 1/2 mildot hold over.
10.5yrd 1st zero 20 yrd 2nd zero hold under 1/4 mildot 12-17yrd.
