    Pitting inside Alecto barrel

Hi folks. I just happened to decide to clean the barrel on the Alecto as the shots were landing a bit off (probably more to do with my aim really). Anyway, after using the supplied cleaning brush, I took a look down the barrel, lighting it with a torch the other end, and by the looks of it there seems to be some pitting about 1/3 of the way along the barrel (from the valve end). It's quite small, probably about 2-3mm long and 1mm wide, seeming to follow the direction of the rifling...

    Is this common?

    What could have caused it?

    Will it affect accuracy?

    Is this a warranty job?
