Do you need an fac for a starting pistol ? Are their any sites were they can be purchased ?

Crumbs- that's a nice li'l ole thing
Hi Merlin- i don't think they're illegal to own (at least i hope not ), i've had this for over twenty years and as stated, back in the 70's they were used at school to start races on sports days

I have an old Starting Pistol almost identical does this need to be handed in to the Police. The sad thing is it was given to me by a Shooting Pal who died 2 months later ,this would really hurt!

Here is my Derringer in 6mm .
I kinda collect this sort of kit .
Not many about nowadays or people are keeping what they have got .

" This , is MY safety "
Sorry Carlos- I don't understand your post??
I'm 99% certain that you don't have to hand it in- ie, i'm almost certain that you can legally own it but it wouldn't be a good idea to go waving it about in the street
Hi Carl, Very nice little thing you have there, How old is it??, it looks old (style) but the superb condition makes it look new

I have one of those missing the cylinder and cylinder pin, the trigger return spring is broken but the rest of the action works perfectly, including the mainspring and the spring on the “hand” that rotates the cylinder, usually the first bit to fail.
The right-hand wood grip is ok, but the left one is in four bits, it will glue together.
These are usually very poor quality and made to a price!
As long as it was made as a starting pistol you are ok with it.
Not particularly old, but:
