    Top man.

    £50 equals roughly 10 parcels.

    Love it.

    In the spirit of Sid's offer, here is another related book.....I will post a copy of this;

    To the winning bidder, (or to wherever it needs to go!)

    If it is worth £20+ for a used book, it must be, at least, equaled on here.

    Excellent effort from the regular members on here yet again and the ''usual suspects'' bidding for this hallowed badge coveted by every squaddie thats ever shot a rifle.

    Well done lads . The longer the Afghan conflict continues the more I realise how important our collective efforts become to boost the morale of these young lads at the front. I and Cliffy have met many of these young squaddies and its plain to see how much they cherish anything arriving from home. We the above lads in this new auction thread are doing a good and decent thing here and its those same lads who make me proud, not only to be English (which ain't easy these days ) but proud of being a member of this forum and the members who have supported Cliff and myself from the start. The generosity you lads have shown and carry on showing is not only heart warming but amazing .

    Thanks again for this without you lot Cliff and myself could not have achieved a tiny proportion of the volume of parcels we have now sent .

    Superb stuff!

    The auction will run until I've received the badge from Paul - I have no idea how long this will take as it's got to come from Cyprus!

    Paddy SP will let you know the duration of the auction Jerry.

    Brilliant bid Jerry, we have one of our own being posted to Afghanistan soon, another BBS member Darren (Warbiscuit) has just returned safely although slightly injured. We have sent BBS funded morale parcels many different units/battalions/corps and the many thankyou letters we have received testify to the importance of these auctions that well known members of this here AirgunBBS have made possible due to their seemingly endless generosity.

    Although to me the comment by a Royal Engineer pmed to me by one of his colleagues that these parcels were instant morale pleased me the most because thats the reason we do this in the first place as a boost to our fighting troops.

    Nice one Pad for the idea and the sew on badge .

    I thank you, Your Lordship - but the credit must go to you and Cliffy for all your hard work, as well as to Paul for donating this much-coveted badge in the first place!

    The badge has just arrived here in sunny Blighty from hot and even sunnier Cyprus, so you Good Sir, are the winner of this fine and prestigious item - I'm sure that many will covet it over the years!

    Many thanks for supporting this fine cause - your funds will pay for 20 morale-boosting gift boxes, for which I'm certain the troops concerned will be most grateful!
