Put me on the list as well Paddy, please.
I'll bring my secret weapon this time; a roll of duct tape

That's a wonderful idea Jim, and I'm sure that Jan would approve.
As Jef said, we need to be encouraging more lady shooters - and what an accolade - the Jan McArthur Memorial Trophy?
Maybe we could commission something suitably sausage-shaped? How fitting a memorial would that be?
Hi Mike.
It is a wonderful idea, the trophy will be ready for the shoot & yes agree with Jef it would be nice more women shooters to be involved aswell as the kids, make it a family thing.
As for the sausage shaped, me JimMc & Jim D are working on a sideshoot target for the our next 6yd comp. (which has been approved by JimMc)

Paddy.

There will be a few lady shooters this time round & Jim has donated a special Jan McArthur Trophy for the Top Lady Shooter of the day.

Are you still "parked" nearby, Aitch?

I've got some great news, well it's great for me. Brenda, my missus, has agreed to shoot at the October meet in the Jan McArthur comp. She'll be using an airsoft TM Coly Python 4". Because airsoft is non lethal, therefore inherrently far safer, she has decided to give it a try. We have been out in the garden practicing in the garage range. I filled the Colt with gas and its max 24 BB's thinking that would be plenty. As it turned out I had to reload once more Considering she has never shot a pistol or rifle of any sort I'm really impressed with her shooting. She was shooting at one of our old UBC targets on A4 paper held vertically. Out of 48 shots I think she only had about 5 or 6 complete misses, ie she missed the paper completely.
Of course I'm biased, but I'm well chuffed for her
