Does anyone know where I can purchase a lead smelter from, the element has gone in mine.

hello there, I was looking at some on e.bay the other week, (I just searched lead melting pot) I also googled and that came up with a couple of sites but most seemed to be in America or China, wenesco seems to be a good one but not sure if there is a uk outlet, there are also others from Lee, again have had a hard job finding uk suppliers

Thanks everyone I will try these sites. Someone I met today suggested that I try a dealer called Tim Hannam.

Just ordered new element from Tim Hannam ( 01977 681639) Leeds, he keeps all parts for LEE black powder accessories.

New element was £11
New smelter pot is £68

Fitted a new one to mine a while ago and it worked a treat. Bit fiddly putting the sections back together so wrapped tape round it while i got the screws back in. Better than buying a new one. Tim

Would have thought Tim Hannam or Henry Krank would be the boys for Lee lead pots.

I ordered mine from Kranks. I would expect they sell parts as well, give them a call.

As I am the pointless thread poster, can I point out that 'smelting' is a process to remove the metal from ore.

As we start with lead, and are just reshaping, we are melting, not smelting
