Make them out of an hacksaw blade.
Heat the blade up to remove the temper and form the shape you want and then re-temper to spring hardness.
I tried the wanted section and no replies so I will try here.
I have a couple of small french pin fire revolvers both have the small V spring (trigger sear) missing, has anybody got a couple of springs in their spares box for sale.
They need to be around 1/4" wide and 1" long, or I can file to fit?
Thanks Peter

I have tried this before I didn't have much luck.
I can take the temper out and shape it the problem I have is getting the hardness right, to little and the spring fails after several activations loosing its shape.
To much and it breaks.
It could be I am trying to get a trigger sear to work from a relatively thin piece of steel.
I will have to find a larger lump of spring steel and have another go!
Thank you for the idea.

This is a good article about tempering here.
You can also temper by dropping the hardened spring into molten lead (it will float) and then allow the lead to cool and solidify. Lift the spring off when cool enough and after a clean it's ready to use.
