    Target pistols aren't allowed in IPAS & most practical disciplines,

    Hi Nick

    The only information I can find on the IPAS website states:

    Pistols allowed

    The following pistols are allowed:

    * Multi-shot air pistols(min 5 shots)
    * T.A.C

    The following pistols are not allowed:

    * Single shot
    * Soft air (sub 1joule)

    So from this definition an Lp5 or LP50 would be perfectly legal ? Or am I missing something??

    Lee

    Post Edit - actually on the introductions page it does state that target pistols can't be used - but then it does say that TAC pistols can be used, which seems a bit behind the times???

    Yes,
    You'd need an up to date copy of the rules to check and you'd find that target pistols aren't allowed, or sign up for the Practical Pistol website where all things PP & IPAS are discussed, you could ask there what you are allowed to use.

    http://www.practicalpistoluk.com/ppuk/forum/index.php

    What would or wouldn't be allowed was discussed in depth at the last IPASA AGM, I was there

    There are a lot of serious pistol shooters who have TAC guns on FAC ;-)

    I would have HW 45 in a heartbeat if it was multi shot!

    However having looked in to it I might as well stick with my Umarex pistols for now and put the money towards a better rifle.

    I am sure something will be produced to fulfill my wishes at some poinnt..... maybe.

    Have you looked at the FX ranchero, its everything you would want in a rifle put into a full power pistol. 8.5 lothar walther threaded barrel, walnut stock, Quick charge plus pressure guage on cylinder. 8 shot magazine with flawless cyclone action.
