Hi Matt,if its the original fitting it is m12 x1.25 pitch a odd ball size in the UK,I also have one with a 10mm adapter another odd size, hth Mark.
I have recently rebuilt a Broken Innova that I acquired and as it had the silencer adaptor but no silencer I purchased a male fitting 1/2" UNF Silencer.
I does not fit - wrong thread
My other Innova that has the original adaptor and silencer is at my secure lock-up and I can't get there for a few days so I can't make a comparison
I have always taken it for granted that these old aftermarket adaptore were 1/2" UNF
My Question is - what is the thread on the old aluminium silencer adaptors?
Thanks in confusion
Matty

Matt,
Metric threaded Sharp silencers are still available from the guy in Poland on e bay. Item 330565028238
I'm still looking for a Puma Innova front-sight which has a male metric thread moulded integral to the design.

I have just made one for my sharp and silencer i got from the bay
it is a m12 x 1 pitch
I have a pic of the sharp silencer box but dont no how to post the pic.
The box says SD12x1 on it
Matt
The silencers from e bay have a sticker on their box with the following wording.
SHARP INNOVA
SILENCER
SD 12Lx1 4,5 / 5,5 / .177 / .22
1 EACH
P/N 3090129
Made In Japan
Some have a sticker on the end that says 4.5MM and others a sticker that says 5.5MM but the contents appear to be the same.
Now, although the box sticker says 12Lx1 the thread is actually a 1.25 pitch when checked with a thread pitch guage.
I have three of these, all with the same thread size m12x1.25. All I need now is to find the Puma Innova front sights. Oh and by the way, none of mine have an orange blaze, they are entirely black.

Thats a very good post mate !
There is a lot of banter on here but they fail to put up the Pics ?
Here are a batch of Sharp Innova silencer adapters I am making ( They could be any thread )
I have 12mm X 1.5 taps, but not the other , ( buying one off items are too expensive for a batch of a dozen ) ?
Thanks for the Pics, ( I wouldn,t expect anything less from a Doncaster Lad ) From Pontefract myself ,
Bought a Kawasaki H1 ( R ) set of barrels there about 40 + years ago Ha ha,
Cheers Ged.
What maw1 and I stated is factual. Stating factual information is not ‘banter’
It is time consuming to take photo’s and upload them to a host when words will normally suffice. But here are some photo’s for non-believers, photo collectors, and anyone else that may find them interesting.
Sharp silencers.
Silencer, pencil and thick paper.
Insert and press hard. (Use lamp black if you can be bothered, I wasn’t)
The impression of the thread shows the pitch.
Thread pitch gauge.
Compare impression to gauge. (1.25mm pitch shown)
More comparison photo's.
1.0
1.25
1.5
The correct die is available from this company,http://www.tapdie.com/index.html , but at £19.50 it's not cheap. (I have no connection with this company, but have used them a few times for odd-ball sizes.

I wasn,t having a go at anyone in particular, !!!!
I wasn,t saying the facts are not correct ? What I am saying is that
we all like to look at Pics, ( Myself included )
Banter is not a derogatory word, It means general talk.
What I was highlighting was that not enough members take the time & Trouble to Photo, Upload/Download Etc Pics of what they are talking about,
You pointed out that ( As I highlighted above ) It takes time ??
Well I know that I & Yet I find the time to do it ,
If we all thought like that, There would be NO Pics,
Post pics, !!!!!!
Cheers Ged. PS. Great Pics , Just what we all want to see .

Just a quick one on the end of my silencer box it says 4.5mm
I see on yours you have a 4.5mm and 5.5 mm
Now i no the front of the box it says 4.5 5.5 .177 and .22
is there any differance in the silencer does it actualy mean nothing
I’ve measured the size of the exit apertures on all three. Both of the 4.5mm ones have the same size (8mm) but the 5.5mm one is larger.
