Put some pellgun oil on the tip of the next capsule.
If it hasnt sorted itself.
I haven't used my CP88 for a few months and when I installed the CO2 bulb, all the gas vented down the barrel. When I tried a second bulb it was OK. Is there anything I can do to remedy this without taking the gun apart?

Thanks gingernut, I'll try that if I still have a problem.

Might be fine now.
Probably just reminding you to shoot more often
The first CO2 you put through will have boiled off fast enough to carry some of the lube in the capsule (there's always a bit from manufacture that isn't cleaned out unless the gas is for food use) through the valve.
If you oil it every third or fourth capsule it keeps the seals and surfaces in the valve clean and slippy, it's maintenance not repair

Hi Nick. I use Crosman CO2 bulbs which I think contain some lube in them. I also put a drop of pellgunoil on the tip of the bulb before installing it. Can you overdo the oil?

Your mags will be oily when you start using too much oil.
The Crosman CO2 with oil in it is a pointless expense in guns with CO2 in the grip as the gas never flows fast enough to carry the CO2 through the gun unless the gun is faulty and the gas fair gushes through it,

Thanks for that information. I generally use gas from JSR, but had some Crosman ones lying around. I'll watch out for oil on the mags.
