2013 Sporting Air Rifle Challenge Series – Round 1 Worcester

The first real Spring(?) Sunday, beautiful weather and a gorgeous view overlooking the Worcester country side. This setting and the promise of a superb course had people travelling from as far as the south coast and Wales to join this first round of the 2013 SARC series.
I'm glad to say neither travellers or regulars to Worcester were disappointed – the course as challenging and enjoyable as always with a light breeze to add that little Worcester Extra!!

The day was won by Ryan Charlton, who beat Bob Clay and his TX on count back!

A special mention to Junior Taya Seagrave shooting her first competition and with a springer and also to Ian Treadwell - who was shooting an HW97 but due to the configuration of the his rifle opted to shoot in the Target class

The only disappointment of the day was Johnny Smith being unable to join us due to illness and we all wish Johnny a speedy recovery –we're all looking forwrd to him joining us for round 2 at Furness Mill on the 26th May.

I think a big thank you to Mick for setting out the course yesterday, and all the others that helped make a great day.

I may be deaf though, never heard so many whistles, those tiny kill zones are tricky for some of us, but obviously not others by the scores.

Definitely need to have 2 sessions if the numbers continue to rise.
