Shame ParcelForce don't update their website to avoid all this confusion!
That was the link we have posted() before in the many other posting threads.
Because of the amount of different, outdated and plain wrong information posted on here I do wish the old sticky "RM must carry air guns" would be removed and replaced with the current rules, a link to the leaflet and a warning that the RM/Parcelforce web sites are out of date.
It would be of huge benefit to everyone concerned.
send it by MYHERMES can be tracked and does include an insurance cover, send a rifle as sporting goods less than a tenner, cheers Algy

In British slang an anorak is a person who has a very strong interest in niche subjects.
By 'this' I mean this post: http://www.airgunbbs.com/showthread....-carry-airguns
Actually, I don't know if a sticky would work - no bugger EVER reads them
Could you insert the link to the current leaflet ( effective 15/7/2013) in your sticky so that it may be printed off or shown to Post Office staff?

EDIT: sorry I just found it hidden behind the word HERE, doesm't show up clearly on my screen.

LOOKING FOR A BSA ULTRA IN .177 and .25
I have seen so many threads lately about this I thought I would put this up.
This company WILL carry air rifles. I have spoken to both the partners and told them of the problem we are facing with Royal Fail and he is sympathetic to our cause.
The company is called A W Express based in Rugby Warwickshire they specialise in National and international light freight
Contact no. Tel: 01788 330700Fax: 01788 571425 Website:www.awexpress.com
They will only ship rifles if they are properly boxed in card.I didn't ask them about insurance costs or availability but you can ask them on contact. He told me they would charge between £12 & £20 depending on places of pick up and destination
From another thread not my post.
Hope this helps
I have always used MyHermies and found them Ok, usually i take the gun out of the stock and parcel it up as a smaller package. they only problem is i think they only insure up to about £400.
