I am getting back into pistol shooting after a long break and I want to pick up a funnel-type target holder/pellet trap for safety.
They are available in two different sizes - 14cm X 14cm and 17cm X 17cm...which one should I get for UK competition 10m pistol targets...?
Also would the 6 yard competition pistol targets use the same size target holder...?
Cheers for any guidance.
If it moves.....shoot it!..If it don't move.....shoot it in case it tries to!!!
Light travels faster than sound....this is why I appear bright until you hear me speak!!!
You can get targets in both size but the 17cm is more common
The bisley 10m pistol and rifle cards fit that size
17cm is standard for the clubs I shoot at for 6yrd

Great - thanks for all the replies.
A 17cm trap it is then
17 X 17 cm is the standard size.
