TS2 or if Pyrodex, then RS (Pyrodex Select RS is ok). I tend to avoid Henry Kranks powder... You may need a hotter cap for Pyrodex.
Which grade of powder should I use for an 11 bore percussion live pigeon gun?
Tried some coarse stuff I use in the Sniders etc but it is too coarse to reach the nipple touch hole so ignition is erratic to say the least.
Black powder is difficult to get here so may have to use Pyrodex.

Going rate at my club was £34 for a kg end of last year for TS2. I'll ask on Sunday where it is sourced from. Yes, Pyrodex is expensive as well.

If you need to use a greater charge because it burns less efficiently, and it seems to leave more unburnt powder in the barrel, then yes, more expensive. Ok, not as expensive as Swiss or Pyrodex for that matter.
I take it back, the reason it is cheaper here is because it is bought in quantity rather than by the 1/2 kg. However, speaking with shooters this morning none of them will use Kranks powder out of choice. That said, as per my earlier post on this thread if it works for you then fine.
There's quite a few bp shooters around boston .
Ask around
Some use subs , most are useing bp .
I was at kranks yesterday but handn't seen this post
