Didn't realise there was that much variation.
Are these home cast or purchased bullets?
I buy 158gn Truncated cone from a popular uk manufacturer.
I will weigh a few and see what the variation is like!
Hi all just wondered if anybody weighs their cast bullets. Bought some 357 hard cast and weighed them other day, there was about 15 grains from lowest to highest. Obviously the biggest variable is me just wanted to know if getting them all spot on makes that much of a difference at 25 yards.

Yes I have batched my 44 TCs for when I do precision comps , but don't worry so much when using them on the larger phoenix type targets . It does become a chore especially weighing through a few thousand .
The ones that was over i was going to take abit off the bottom with a grinder, the ones that are under use for practice.

Why not batch them in 3 groups heavy, med and light. At 25mts you wont see much POI change

Tac was going to wear a mask, but good point didn't really think it through properly. Grouping them into 3 groups is the best idea. Just need to know myself if theirs much difference.

If you can see a difference shooting offhand at 25 yards your a good shot, but 15 grains is a big jump, to keep cast bullets to a near equal weight is a slow process which you will be lucky to find in mass produced bullets.
